In order to learn to dive through Sault Scuba Cente Ltd., turning 14 the year of certification is the minimum requirement. Upon successful completion of all skills, you will be issued a junior certification. Whic can be upgraded to senior at the age of 16, if you have been actively diving. If not, then a refresher course must be taken. A junior certification, ensures the diver may only scuba dive with a senior certification.

One doesn't have to be an olympic swimmer to be a competent diver. However, one does have to know how to swim proficiently and pass a basic swim test and related skills.

Sault Scuba offers a wide variety of quality equipment. In order to take our scuba diving lessons; you will require your own personal equipment. Mask, snorkel, open heeled fins and wetsuit boots. This is basically a hygenic descion. The remainder of the equipment needed to take the course is supplied by us, with the exception of the openwater checkout dives. This carries a small rental fee.
